Lizzie recently graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire, where she gained a Bachelor of Arts in Music with honours. There she trained as a first study singer under the direction of Margaret Field.
Whilst studying at the conservatoire Lizzie was involved in numerous operas and musical theatre productions. She was also asked to sing in master classes, competitions and with the Birmingham Conservatoire Chamber Choir. In her third year Lizzie was given the opportunity to study in Scheggino, Umbria and Rome singing various oratorio works and Bach chorals.
Alongside studying for her degree Lizzie also worked with vocal groups in the midlands including ExCathedra Academy of Vocal Singers, Birmingham Royal Ballet, St Chads Cathedral, and Harmon8.
Although Lizzie is classically trained, previous to doing her degree at Birmingham Conservatoire, Lizzie studied at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts gaining their diploma in Musical Theatre. Due to her diverse training Lizzie enjoys singing different genres of music.
Lizzie recently toured Switzerland and Austria singing at the Lucerne Festival alongside Felicity Palmer and Simon Keenlyside. The music performed ranged from Verdi`s Falstaff to more contemporary music composed by Gubaidulina, Webern, Nono and Pintscher. Whilst on Tour, Lizzie worked under the direction of Pierre Boulez and Daniel Ruess.
Concert venues Lizzie has performed in include: Cheltenham Town Hall, St John Smith Square, Wigmore Hall, The Purcell Room, Southbank Centre, O3 Gallery Oxford, Symphony Hall Birmingham, and St Philips Cathedral Birminhgam.
